Service Positions
If you are a member of Narcotics Anonymous you are welcome to serve the fellowship. There are many ways to be of service to NA, and many service positions available from Group level to Regional Service level.
All members have the right to offer to serve the fellowship in any capacity they choose. Please read the Guide to Local Service to help you decide which position you would like to serve in, and any position description or guidelines document that may be available from the relevant service committee. Any position can be filled either by a nomination from an individual member, a group, or the person applying for the position at the service committee meeting.
This page can help you find a Regional or Area level service position. As service committees give us information about open positions, we post the information here.
We serve society by being an example of recovery and living by spiritual principles. We can also serve other addicts simply by carrying the message of recovery and hope. There is yet another type of service which involves a commitment to a service body, whether it is a home group, an area or regional service committee, or a subcommittee.
To read more about the working and structure of these committees, and for more information about being of service in NA, consult the Guide To Local Service published by NA World Services.
